About

One day, six years ago I read an article in a magazine written by a successful celebrant and I realised that this was the job that I’d always wanted to do! As a child I loved to write stories about families with a happy ever after. As an adult I enjoy researching my family tree and finding out their stories which are often stranger than fiction.  I’d honed my creative, communicative and people skills as a teacher, trainer and mentor and I was ready for this next step!

Since training in the art of celebrancy, I have officiated many ceremonies for couples across the country. I create, collaborate on and choreograph their ideal wedding ceremony; based on their personalities and wishes. At the same time, I too have found love again, after being widowed  and have married my husband Chris. We had a beautiful handfasting ceremony in June 2019. Dreams can come true!

Since Covid life has changed again. I have been overjoyed to welcome my first grandchild and my Mum has come to live with us so I am working half time at my Celebrancy for the foreseeable future. Family life is precious.
